Volunteers of SGH (Formerly SGH Auxiliary)
At the Auxiliary’s General Meeting in October 2009, a motion was made to disband the Auxiliary and form a new Volunteer organization in partnership with the Hospital’s Volunteer Services Group. In 2010, the 118 year legacy of the Hospital Auxiliary Association of the Stratford General Hospital was assumed by the Volunteers of Stratford General Hospital.

The Stratford General Hospital Auxiliary contributed over 5,000 hours of service a year to 13 different areas at SGH, such as Patient Registration, E3S, E3E, Palliative Care, Physiotherapy, Rehab. Day Program, Diabetes Clinic and other areas.
Their main focus is to help make a patient and family’s hospital experience more pleasant by giving assistance as needed in the departments they are assigned to.
