Inpatient Mental Health

The Inpatient Mental Health facility will be relocated and redesigned to address patient and staff security, and offer patients the privacy and dignity they deserve. The new unit will be 3 times larger than existing space.

Improvements include:

• more spacious bed areas
• improved washroom facilities
• a redesigned nursing station
• patient support space including group/therapy rooms, interview rooms, report areas, exercise room, horticulture room, TV lounge and recreation areas
• specialized isolation rooms to provide a “safe haven” for patients
