The Medical Imaging Unit will be expanded and relocated
to be close to the Emergency, Intensive Care and Operating Rooms,
reducing delays and helping patient flow.
PACS (Picture Archiving Communication System)
moves Radiology into the electronic world
with no more film. PACS revolutionizes the
storage, retrieval, distribution and display
of medical images. PACS is like trading
in your old 35 mm film camera for a digital
camera — pictures can be taken instantly
without waiting for them to be developed — and just like
photos on a digital camera you can send images
to others via computer.
