The ProjectThe Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance's Stratford General Hospital site has commenced construction on a $65 million project that will completely revitalize the Hospital core areas — the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Operating Rooms, Medical Imaging, Maternal Child, and Inpatient Mental Health.
The project will fully utilize shelled-in space in the East Building, and construct an addition to the front of the Hospital to house these core services in close proximity to each other — a key in effective, efficient care delivery and to attracting and retaining the very best physicians, nurses and clinicians. As a Regional Referral Centre the project will touch people from near and far. Patients not only come from Huron and Perth Counties to access services and expertise, but increasingly from Oxford, Bruce, Lambton, Middlesex, Waterloo and Wellington Counties. Increasing patient loads from these areas combined with higher demand as our population increases make the project a necessity. Read more about the planned improvements to the Hospital core areas: |
